With a plethora of projects and conflicting priorities, Mark was able to help organize, evaluate, and prioritize projects working along side the IS Department Director, the Executive Team of the hospital and key IS supervisors. More effective resource utilization, predictable project completion dates, and higher customer satisfaction resulted. In the first year, RRMC increased the number of successfully completed projects by more than 50%.
THE NEED FOR REPEATABILITY
Over time, the increased efficiencies experienced in the IS Department led the Executive Team to commission Mark to establish a PMO for the hospital to handle all IS-related projects. Working with key staff, Mark developed a tailored set of processes, tools, and training materials to be used by the hospital and newly hired PMO staff.
And the greatest compliment to a job well done? Now other departments at RRMC are asking the PMO to manage their non-IS-related projects!
